Hey there!
Here is a little about me…
I’m a bilingual Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor based in Maryland, and I offer therapy in both English and Spanish through my fully remote private practice. My work is grounded in warmth, cultural humility, and a deep belief in your capacity to grow and heal.
Alongside my private practice, I serve as a full-time psychiatric therapist at The Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Community Psychiatry Program, where I provide individual and group psychotherapy in both outpatient and intensive outpatient levels of care. Working within a world-renowned academic medical center has given me the opportunity to collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and treatment teams to provide evidence-based, person-centered care to individuals navigating a wide range of mental health concerns. I bring that same standard of clinical excellence and compassion into my private sessions.
In my practice, I specialize in supporting adults managing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. I have a particular interest in helping people who feel overwhelmed by life transitions, caregiving responsibilities, or the weight of perfectionism and self-doubt. I also work with LGBTQ+ clients exploring identity, self-acceptance, and belonging.
One of my clinical passions is working with individuals living with bipolar disorder. It can feel like riding an unpredictable rollercoaster—mood shifts, energy crashes, and strained relationships. My clients often come to me wanting to better understand their cycles, catch early warning signs, and build routines that bring greater emotional stability. I use psychoeducation, CBT, and evidence-based tools like Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT) to help you track patterns, improve sleep and nutrition, and coordinate care with prescribers if needed. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or looking to regain balance after a setback, I’m here to help you move from insight to action.
My path to this work began in Puerto Rico, where I led community support and education initiatives focused on intimate partner violence and LGBTQ+ advocacy. I founded No Estamos Solos (“We Are Not Alone”), a psychosocial support group for LGBTQ+ students, and collaborated with Siempre Vivas to offer support and education to survivors of domestic violence. That early work continues to shape how I show up in the therapy room—with deep respect for your lived experience, your culture, and your courage.
Whether we’re exploring painful past experiences, healing relational wounds, or building new coping strategies, I want therapy to feel like a safe, empowering space. If you’re looking for a therapist who blends clinical skill with authenticity and care, I’d be honored to work with you.
